Second GuardIAS Conference Proceedings

General information

The International Association for Open Knowledge on Invasive Species (INVASIVESNET- https://www.invasivesnet.org) will be responsible for preparation of conference proceedings. Currently INVASIVESNET has three official open access, peer-reviewed international journals – Aquatic Invasions, BioInvasions Records and Management of Biological Invasions (https://www.invasivesnet.org/publications/open-access-journals.php).

During 2025-2027, Management of Biological Invasions (https://www.reabic.net/journals/mbi/) will serve as a main publication platform for all three annual GuardIAS conferences proceedings.

Selected papers can be also published in other thematic INVASIVESNET journals, Aquatic Invasions (experimental research on aquatic invasive species) and BioInvasions Records (brief papers and data papers on new records and checklists of invasive species).

The Responsible Managing editor for all three journals is Dr. Vadim Panov (https://www.invasivesnet.org/profile/?uid=85).

We encourage all conference participants to submit their research manuscripts for publication in the conference proceedings.

Submission Deadline and Review Process

The tentative deadline for manuscript submission is December 7th, 2026, (earlier submissions of full papers are very welcome!) Authors should use our online submission system for Management of Biological Invasions (https://www.editorialmanager.com/mbi/). Please see Author guidelines before submitting your manuscript (http://www.reabic.net/journals/mbi/Submission.aspx). Accepted papers will be published online 2-3 weeks after the publication decision (although time to completion may vary due to delays in reviewing times, revisions of manuscripts, and the need for several rounds of reviews).

All papers will be reviewed in accordance with the usual Management of Biological Invasions review processes and cannot be assured of acceptance until they have met the standards for peer review. The guest editors will manage the special issue.

Article Processing Charges

We will offer a full waiving of article processing charges for all conference presenters.
