Instructions for Oral Presentations
Thank you for offering to give an Oral Presentation at GuardIAS 2025 13th-14th November 2025. Please follow the guidelines below for preparing and submitting your presentation.
Preparing your Presentation
- NB – Content of your presentation: The GuardIAS Conference has delegates from different scientific disciplines and practitioners so please do not assume that the audience are experts in your area of research. In particular, avoid giving the same presentation as you would give to your subject peers, keep your presentation pitched at a general academic level and emphasise the applied aspects of your research.
- We would recommend that you include slides in your presentation, directly relating to the conference themes
- Oral Presentations are 12 minutes plus 3 minutes for questions. Please do not exceed the time allocation – as we have a strict schedule to adhere to. To help you keep to time the chairperson will prompt when you have reached 10 minutes.
- Files should be in MS Office PowerPoint format ONLY. When submitting a file please use the filename format: ‘FirstAuthorSurname FirstAuthorInitial’ e.g. Murphy_J.ppt
Submitting your presentation
- In order to facilitate the organisation deadlines, we encourage you to submit your presentation electronically beforehand via email to vepanov@gmail.com by 5pm Friday 7th November 2025.
Giving Your Presentation
- In the session in which you are presenting please be present in the meeting room ten minutes before the start of the session . Please have your slide show ready to present.
