We are delighted to share with you the good news. The abstract submission deadline for the GuardIAS Virtual Conference 2026 has been extended to 21 September!
This is your last opportunity to submit an abstract and share your research with an international audience working on invasive alien species (IAS) detection and monitoring.
The second GuardIAS Virtual Conference, organised by GuardIAS in collaboration with INVASIVESNET, will take place virtually on 19–20 November 2026.
Conference Theme
Cost-efficient IAS Detection and Monitoring: Novel Tools and Citizen Science
We are now accepting abstract submissions for oral and poster presentations under the following themes:
- Smart detection technologies for IAS surveillance
- eDNA and molecular diagnostics for non-native species detection and monitoring
- AI-assisted species detection
- Citizen Science & participatory surveillance networks
- Data integration from multiple platforms: transforming diverse observations into actionable intelligence
- From Detection to Action: cost-efficiency, management & policy uptake
Whether you are developing new detection technologies, using molecular or AI approaches, working with citizen scientists, or exploring how improved detection can support cost-effective management and policy, we would love to hear from you.
The new abstract submission deadline is 21 September 2026.
Don’t miss this final opportunity to submit your work and be part of the GuardIAS Virtual Conference 2026!
